Prof. Zhangwei Chen Shenzhen University China Prof. Zhangwei Chen holds a Ph.D. from Imperial College London (2014), with his PhD thesis awarded the prestigious John Kilner Prize. He has been working on the fields of materials processing, advanced manufacturing and characterizations of ceramics for over 10 years. He is now an editor of Journal of Advanced Ceramics (Springer, ISSN 2227-8508) and Journal of Materials Engineering (in Chinese, ISSN 1001-4381), a board member of both Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering - Additive Manufacturing Branch and the Chinese Ceramic Society Testing Branch. He is PI or Co-I of a number of projects supported by NSFC, Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City, totaling up to 10 M RMB Yuan. He is actively engaged in the organization/chairing of national/international conferences and forums on ceramic additive manufacturing. He also serves as a panel referee of national and international funding agents, including Singapore A STAR Fund, New Zealand Marsden Fund, NSFC and so on. He has published over 50 papers with one being both an ESI 1% Highly Cited Paper and 0.1% Hot Paper. Currently, his main research interests focus on the additive manufacturing of ceramics.
