International Conference of the Characterization and Control of Interfaces for High Quality Advanced Materials

ABSTRACTS:

Authors are invited to submit a 1-page abstract as an MS Word document. Abstracts should be double spaced on A4 paper (210x 297mm) or US letter size paper with a 4cm header, 3cm left and right margins, and a 3cm footer. Times New Roman font should be used. The title should be typed in all CAPITAL LETTERS in 14-pt boldface. In 14-pt normal, type the author(s) name(s) with their affiliation(s) on the following line. Underline the name of the presenting author. After skipping a line, type the abstract in 12-pt normal. SI units should be used. Abstracts with Pre-Registration Forms must be sent by e-mail before March 31, 2006 to:

PRESENTATIONS:

The conference will include oral presentations (contributed papers 15min, including discussion; invited papers 30min including discussion) and posters. The organizing committee will determine the mode of presentation; however, authors are invited to indicate their preference when submitting their abstract.

PUBLICATION:

Authors are invited to submit written papers for peer review and publication in the Transactions of The American Ceramic Society. Manuscripts are limited to 6 pages in length. ScholarOne’s Proceedings Central (web-based) site will be used for this process, with the following schedule:
May 19, 2006　　Authors sent invitation with instructions to submit their manuscript
August 18 　　　 Deadline for manuscript
September 6 　　Authors submit two hard copies of their manuscript at the registration desk (on the first day of the conference)
October 27　　　 Technical reviews completed
November 17 　 Deadline for revised (final) manuscript
February 2007　 Proceedings printed and mailed

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE:

English will be used for all presentations and printed materials.

Conference fees cover:
- a copy of the abstract book

- a local tour
A social program is planned for accompanying persons.
