AIMS AND SCOPE:

Interfaces are critically important to a broad spectrum of materials and technologies. In 2003, the first International Conference on Characterization and Control of Interfaces for High Quality Advanced Materials (ICCCI2003) established an international forum for interface science and technology. In Kurashiki in 2006, the second International Conference (ICCCI2006) will continue the discussion. ICCCI 2006 will focus on interface characterization and control to design and manufacture high quality advanced materials. Interface characterization and control technology for materials synthesis, powder processing, composite processing, joining, and to control airborne particulates will be addressed by scientists and engineers from academia and industry. Additionally, joining technology for new metallic glasses and inorganic materials will be featured as a special topic.

LOCATION:
The conference will be held in the beautiful and historic city of Kurashiki in Japan, which is especially popular with tourists in the Fall. Kurashiki is within 2hrs by train from Kyoto, Osaka, and Kansai International Airport.
