International Conference of the Characterization and Control of Interfaces for High Quality Advanced Materials

ABSTRACTS:

Extended abstracts will be used to select the contributions to be presented at the conference. Authors are invited to submit a camera-ready copy of a 1-page abstract.
The abstract should be typed using double spacing on A4 paper (210 x 297 mm) with a 4 cm header, 4 cm left and right margin, and 3 cm footer. The title should be typed in all capital letters preferably with 14 point-font boldface. Type the author(s) on the following line, underlining the name of the presenting author. After skipping a line, type the abstract. A 10 point Helvetica, 12 point Times Roman or 12 point Letter Gothic typeface is recommended. SI units should be used. Good print quality is required.
Abstracts should be received before 31 of March 2003 by: Prof. Makio Naito, Joining and Welding Research Institute, Osaka Univ., 11-1, Mihogaoka, Ibaraki, Osaka, 567-0047, JAPAN.

PRESENTATIONS:

The conference will include oral presentations (20 min. including discussion) and posters. The organizing committee will decide on the mode of presentation. However, authors are invited to indicate their preference when submitting their abstract.

PUBLICATIONS:

The papers accepted for presentation at the Conference are to be published as conference proceedings in the Transactions of The American Ceramic Society. The original manuscript including figures, plus two photocopies of the manuscript should be delivered to the registration desk on the first day of the Conference. The maximum length of the paper is 8 pages.

English will be used for all presentations and all printed materials.

    - Abstract book
    - accommodations (check-in: September 24, check-out: September 27)
    - boarding (from dinner on 24 September to lunch on 27 September including a banquet)

For accompanying person, an optional group tour to Hiroshima is scheduled during the Conference.
