Abstract submission was closed.
The symposium will include oral presentations and posters. The organizing committee will decide the mode of presentation; however, authors can indicate their preference when submitting their abstract. English will be the language for presentations and printed materials.
Abstracts of no more than 200 words must be submitted
electrically by no later than July 31, 2019. The paper title,
author name(s) with their affiliation(s) and the abstract text
should be entered. Do not include drawings or photographs in the
abstract.

*Attention about category selection*
In the abstract submission, there are 3 categories, "Visual-JW 2019", "WSE 2019", and "Symposium of Joint Usage/Research with JWRI".
Please make sure to select ONE category which you prefer, and choose a topic from the pull-down menu of that category.
However, category "Symposium of Joint Usage/Research with JWRI" is only for joint researchers of JWRI who are asked from us to make presentations at the Symposium on the Research Activities of Joint Usage / Research Center on Joining and Welding.
Acceptance of an abstract for presentation will be based on a rigorous review, and authors will be notified by August 9,2019.
