Research Field
The functionally diagnosis of joints consists of the diagnosis of the
materials and the process to obtain the optimal joint properties. In our
group, in order to optimize both the material and process, several fundamental
researches on melting and solidification process are investigated, including
measurement of thermophysical properties (surface tension, viscosity, density,
and wettability) of melt. For the process, friction stir welding, TIG welding,
GMA welding, laser welding and brazing are investigated, including the
development of new method, such as TIG with deep penetration and FSW of
high temperature materials. (steel, Ti, Pt and many others)
1. Predictions Joint Properties and Life Assessment by Bayesian Neural
Network
2. Precise Measurement of Thermophysical Properties (Surface Tension, Viscosity,
Density and Wettability) of Liquid
3. Development of Friction Stir Welding of High Temperature Materials
4. Development of Highly Efficient TIG Welding Method
5. Surface Modification by Friction Stir Processing (FSP) and Friction Stir Powder Processing (FSPP)
